Terms of Service

Who we are

Forge Images is a free media hosting service operated by Bitsocial Forge Inc., a Delaware corporation ("we", "us"). These terms cover images.bitsocialforge.com, img.bitsocialforge.com, img-api.bitsocialforge.com, and uploads made through apps that use Forge Images, such as 5chan. By uploading a file you agree to these terms, the Acceptable Use Policy, and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not upload.

Who can upload

You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher. You may not use the service if you are located in a country or region under comprehensive US sanctions, or if you are on a US sanctions list.

Your files

No expiry, no guarantee

Files do not expire. We have no retention limit and no deletion schedule: we intend to host files indefinitely and do not delete them for age or inactivity. "Permanent" describes this no-expiry policy. It is not a promise that a file or the service will always be available. Files can still be removed under these terms, and the service may change or shut down. If we shut it down, we will give reasonable notice where we can.

There are no accounts, so we cannot verify who uploaded a file and there is no self-service deletion. Keep your own copies.

Moderation and removal

We check new uploads before serving them and re-check reported files, but we are not obliged to monitor the service and are not responsible for what users upload. We may refuse, remove, or block any file, and block IP addresses or integration keys, at our discretion. This includes enforcement against repeat copyright infringers. A removed file stops working at every link that points to it.

Free service and fair use

The service is free. There are no paid tiers, subscriptions, or per-upload fees. Uploads are limited per connection to keep the service available for everyone. You may embed and hotlink files anywhere for personal, non-commercial use. Using Forge Images as a CDN or file host for a commercial product needs our prior written permission. You may not bypass rate limits, the browser check, or other abuse controls.

Disclaimer

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent the law allows.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Bitsocial Forge Inc. and its officers, employees, and agents are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, or revenue, arising from your use of or inability to use the service. Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to US$50. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Bitsocial Forge Inc. against claims, losses, and costs, including reasonable legal fees, arising from files you upload or from your breach of these terms.

Changes

We may update these terms. We will post the new version here with a new effective date. Using the service after an update means you accept it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, and disputes go to the state or federal courts located in Delaware. This does not remove protections that the consumer law of your country gives you and that cannot be waived by contract.

Acceptable Use Policy

Legal content is welcome, including adult and NSFW content involving consenting adults. The following is not allowed:

We may remove violating files, permanently block identical re-uploads, block IP addresses and integration keys, and report illegal content to the authorities where the law requires it.

Privacy Policy

Bitsocial Forge Inc. is responsible for the personal data described here. Questions and requests: privacy@bitsocialforge.com.

What we collect

We remove EXIF (including GPS location), XMP, IPTC, and comments from JPEG, PNG, and WebP files before storing them, keeping only the rotation setting so photos display the right way up. We remove container metadata, including location, from MP4 and WebM videos. GIF and SWF files are stored exactly as uploaded, and an image that cannot be processed safely is stored as uploaded. Remove sensitive information yourself before uploading.

What we do not do

No accounts, no advertising, no analytics, and no tracking. This site sets no cookies of its own. We do not sell or share personal data for advertising. We do not track who views files; Cloudflare processes request data, such as IP addresses, to deliver them.

Who processes data for us

When we disclose data

We disclose data when the law requires it, including reports of apparent child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), and when needed to protect someone from serious harm.

Where data is stored

In the United States. Cloudflare serves files from data centers worldwide.

Legal bases and your rights

If you are in the EU, EEA, or UK, we process this data based on our legitimate interest in running a secure service and preventing abuse, and to meet legal obligations. You can ask to access, correct, or delete your data, or object to its processing, by emailing privacy@bitsocialforge.com. Uploads are anonymous, so we may need the file link and the approximate upload time to find records. You can also complain to your data protection authority. Requests to remove a file go through the report form or abuse@bitsocialforge.com.

Children

The service is not for anyone under 18.

We respond to notices of claimed copyright infringement under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. §512). Send notices to our designated agent:

Copyright Agent, Bitsocial Forge Inc.
1021 E Lincolnway, PMB 7723
Cheyenne, WY 82001, USA
Phone: +1 888-994-4981
Email: dmca@bitsocialforge.com

What a notice must include

  1. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act for them.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work you claim is infringed.
  3. The link to each file you want removed.
  4. Your name, address, phone number, and email address.
  5. A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. A statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act for the copyright owner.

When we receive a valid notice, we disable the file at every link that points to it and block identical re-uploads.

Counter-notices

If you believe a file was removed by mistake, send a counter-notice to the agent above with:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. The link to the removed file.
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith the file was removed by mistake or misidentification.
  4. Your name, address, and phone number.
  5. Your consent to the jurisdiction of the US federal district court for your address or, if you are outside the US, any judicial district where we may be found, and that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the notice.

We forward valid counter-notices to the person who sent the notice. Unless they tell us they have filed a court action, we restore the file 10 to 14 business days later. The same link works again.

Repeat infringers

We block uploads from IP addresses and integration keys that repeatedly upload infringing files.

Knowingly false notices or counter-notices can make you liable for damages under 17 U.S.C. §512(f). For copyright complaints outside the US, email dmca@bitsocialforge.com.

Child safety

We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse material. When we find it, we remove it, permanently block the file from being uploaded again, preserve the records the law requires, and report it to NCMEC's CyberTipline, as US law (18 U.S.C. §2258A) requires. Cloudflare scans files we serve for known material.

If you see it, email the link to abuse@bitsocialforge.com, where a person reads every message, and use the report form, which triggers an automatic re-check. You can also report it directly to NCMEC's CyberTipline or to your local police. Do not download, screenshot, or share it, even to report it.

Contact

Authorities, including those of EU member states and the European Commission, and users can reach our single point of contact at abuse@bitsocialforge.com, in English.
